Here is a link to a great opinion piece on the problem with GMO foods.  As a bonus, it was published right in our own backyard by the Standard Times!  http://Here is a link to a great opinion piece on the problem with GMO foods. When researchers started tinkering away at animal models of atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), a compound found in green, abbreviated EGCG, has been shown to reduce a marker of inflammation abbreviated CRP.

Such research suggests green tea may help decrease the risk of developing atherosclerosis.

Plus, a Japanese tea ceremony is so much cooler than going to Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks!

I zinc and therefore I am...

According to some interesting research, the mineral ZINC may play a significant role in memory and learning.  Researchers, by using a chelator that specifically binds with zinc and eliminates it from the brain of the test animals, found that communications between neurons was significantly diminished and that zinc is vital for controlling the efficiency between nerve cells in the area of the brain called the hippocampus.

In fact, the highest concentrations of brain zinc are found among the neurons of the hippocampus that control the high functions of learning and memory.
