This is an animal study on krill supplementation that has been shown to decrease the damage to heart tissue caused by a myocardial infarct (heart attack), according to researchers studying animal models of heart disease.  Here is the link:  http://www.biomedcentral.com/content/pdf/1476-511X-10-245.pdf

PS- don't forget about essential fatty acids from nuts and seeds!

“For the previous 250,000 years, man had evolved without having this very strange protein in his gut,” Dr. Guandalini said. “And as a result, this is a really strange, different protein which the human intestine cannot fully digest. Many people did not adapt to these great environmental changes, so some adverse effects related to gluten ingestion developed around that time.”

This is great blog from the New York Times.  Here's the link: http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/02/04/gluten-free-whether-you-need-it-or-not/?ref=health

It appears they have confirmed finding King Richard III's remains.  From what I can see of his crooked spine, his royal court did not include a chiropractor!  Perhaps Shakespeare should have wrote: My kingdom for a chiropractor!

If you are wondering what else you might do to prevent the Flu, consider the work of Dr. David Felten.

David Felten, M.D., Ph.D., is currently Vice President for Research, and Medical Director of the Beaumont Research Institute at the William Beaumont Hospitals in Royal Oak, MI. He was a research a professor of Neurobiology and Anatomy at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He and his wife, Suzanne Felten, Ph.D., discovered nerve fibers that physically link the nervous system and the immune system. Dr. Felten was the recipient of a MacArthur foundation Prize Fellowship and was the associate editor of the journal Brain, Behavior and Immunity.

Here are some quotes for Dr. Felton when interviewed:

Dr. Felton:  "In the middle of these vast fields of cells of the immune system, was a bunch of nerve fibers. I looked at them and thought, what is this? Nerve fibers aren't supposed to talk to cells of the immune system. What are they doing here?

Dr. Felton:  “So we cut some more sections, and looked-and there they were again. We tried other blocks of tissue, and there they were again. They kept showing up again and again. We and others eventually discovered nerve fibers going to virtually every organ in the immune system and forming direct contact with the immune system cells”.

Dr. Felton:“Much to our surprise, we found that if you took the nerves away from the spleen or lymph nodes, you virtually stopped immune responses in their tracks.”

Since 1985 Chiropractic has stated that the nervous system is involved with every aspect of our health.

So chiropractors were not as surprised as Dr. Felten to find out that the nervous system talks to your immune system.

What is surprising and confusing is the lowered immunity that some people suffer from.  The key may be simply to improve your spine, which will improve your nervous system, which will improve your immunity.

If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, call a chiropractor!
